Humpty Dumpty

A quick break down of what you thought was just a nursery rhyme.

Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall.
Humpty Dumpty had a great fall.
All the King's horses and all the King's men,
couldn't put Humpty together again.

"Humpty Dumpty had a great fall"... "For we all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23). We are humans, we sin. It is an inevitable part of our daily lives. Whether little white lies such as "No honey, those jeans do not make you look fat", to speeding and running a red light.

The last two lines of Humpty Dumpty are a kick in the gut, at least it is for me. Say I wanted to learn how to cook, would I go ask the cook's secretary for cooking advice? No, I would go to the cook himself. Same goes for Humpty... If Humpty wanted to be healed why in the world would you go the the King's horses and the King's men, when you could just go the King himself?

We all need to seek first the kingdom of God and put our trust in his holy name that we are healed (Psalms 9:10 & Matthew 6:33), healed in heath, liberated from sin, at peace with our pains, ect. Humpty was led astray as most of us have been at some part of our lives and believe in the healing of man opposed to the creator of man. God is the doctor or all doctors, provider of all providers, and the giver of all givers. He is always near and will never abandon us. It is our choice to turn to him in not just times of trail but also in the blessed moments in life. As in Psalms 23:4 we may walk through times of trial we must not fear because God is there to comfort us.
